August 2015 Moms

I'm so tired of these contractions... Either come for good or GO AWAY!!!

I've kept well hydrated, good balance between on my feet and off, and taking warm baths. Idk what else to do! They come and go, are becoming painful, and are not consistent enough to call doc. This has been happening for a week or so now, I'm about to go crazy. Anyone in the same boat or have a good suggestion?!?! 2.5 more weeks!!!! Uggggh

  • Yes and it's totally annoying!!!  I'll have really consistent contractions for like an hour or two, sometimes they're pretty painful, and then they'll just stop.  Then later that night the process starts all over again.  I've got another four weeks to go, so I'm going to be really bummed if this keeps up for that entire time.  I'm totally with you on the either come on for good or just knock it the crap off! :)

  • I've had them for over a month and am just hitting 36 weeks. Mine have gotten painful enough they bring tears to my eyes. I'm definitely over these "false" ones that "aren't supposed to hurt". I'm also tired of everyone telling me that "I'll know" when they turn into real contractions because they'll hurt more.... this is my second baby and these fake ones are already up on par with my active labor contractions from baby #1. I'm over them

  • I know that feel. We were actually in the hospital on Monday because they were coming every 6 mins and we thought it was go-time.

Nope, just a dress rehearsal, i'm still pregnant.

Yeah I've had to go to l&d twice because they were coming 2-3 min apart... But still not "real" contractions.

  • Every couple days I'll have contractions 3 minutes apart for about an hour and then they start spacing out and eventually stop about the time I'm ready to call the doctor

I've gotten them since 36 weeks. Mine aren't consistent at all, but don't come as often as some of you ladies have described. I sometimes get them strong after a bowel movement (tmi, sorry). Not sure what one has to do with the other but I feel like it's an omen that I'll most likely be pooping during labor haha
  • been going through this too... except mine have stayed timeable, been up to L&d 3 times, clinic 4 times (unplanned) and still regular during my weekly NSTs..... I'm on my 11th straight day of this, and I'm so done *sigh* I'm only 35 weeks now, so I've got a while to go, and my doctors are confused and surprised it hasn't turned into "real" labor yet because baby has dropped.... everything is all ready to go but my body refuses to dilate I'm at 2 cms and it took 11 days of contractions for me to get that far @_@
  • I'm due August 5th and getting them too not as frequently as some of you mums but seriously the pain there causing just hurry up and be the real deal now cos there frequent enough to time but not enough to go hospital in full labour
