First, @dolphin012, I'm so sorry for your loss and commend your strength. I hope that none of us have to endure another loss.
I am Happyktmom from Virginia
2. TTC#2 for 15 months
3. After seeing RE and doing 2 months of drugs and monitoring with TI, we decided we wanted to go natural and take it easy for a few months. I did Vitex (drops and capsules) CD3-10, PNV's, Vit D, CoQ10 for myself and DH, Gingko for DH, Progesterone cream from CD20. I also have gotten better at charting CM, but failed to chart BBT. Why can't I do both?
4. CD 23 4dpo , according to CM
5. We were so right on target this month. DH came through (har har) 3 times this month! I wish we were able to do O-1, but we did great with timing and even had a nice relaxing trip away just the two of us. I feel super positive about this go around.
QOTW: I LOVE animals! I have my 1st child/furbaby, our rescue lab mix. He is the first dog I've ever had. I grew up with French Lops (big rabbits) and would kind of like to give that a go again. I don't think we'll ever have cats again, DH and DD allergic
Venting - I saw others posting about issues posting here. I will type a message and then it disappears from the feed. Is this the same problem everyone is having? I sure hope this doesn't disappear!
**child mentioned** Me(38)PCOS/Hypothyroid DH(43)Low T/ED MMC at 10 weeks 03/2011 DD born 01/2012 TTC #2 since 04/2014 BFP 8/26/2016
4. who the heck knows? I think I'm 11 dpo but I might not have even o'd yet. I give up.
5. Blah
QOTW: Are you an animal person? Share if you have (or wish you had) any furry friends at home (or scaly etc .
I love animals but right now we rent and are not allowed to have pets. I have had dogs and cats since I was a little kid.
Feel free to add any vents or shout outs
Venting*** - So, I guess this is it. Today is my birthday and today is H's deadline. I tested this morning just in case and it was a clear negative. My temp dropped again this morning. I still don't know if I have actually o'd yet or not this month because my temps have been super low.
I just want to thank you ladies for being here for me through this journey. I haven't been posting much in the past couple weeks, I think I was already mentally preparing myself to step away. I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that another child just isn't in the cards for us, as painful as that is for me.
I wish all of you the best of luck and am keeping my fingers crossed for many BFP announcements in the coming days.
2. TTC #1, not preventing since 11/12, actively trying since 8/14
3. OPKs, temping, prenatal vitamins, inositol supplements, evening primrose oil, Vitamin E, Zinc, probiotics, cayenne, Vitamin B, increased dose of Vitex (CD 3-9) and just started licorice (CD 3-9). Still on progesterone (Prometrium, 200mg), starting the day after O. Trying to increase protein, decrease sugars/carb, and exercise more...
4. CD14, waiting to O…(4 days of flashing smiley face but not LH surge yet)
5. I'm feeling more hopeful for the future. Finally got a new insurance plan that will cover basic fertility consultations/treatments so will hopefully get in to see an RE sometime in August. I'm also starting acupuncture next week so am hoping that will have a positive effect on me. As far as this cycle, I'm not really sure. I haven't been eating the best or exercising much due to travel. I've been realizing that I have to exercise a LOT in order to O, otherwise my body just seems to shut down.
We are renting and the landlord doesn't allow any pets :-( I had a lot of great pets/animals growing up, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, goats and even a pet raccoon!
@suziq1978 - So sorry that this is it for you. Blah. I wish I could've happened for you!
@happyktmom - I think temping is more informative than CM so if you had to pick only one to do, I'd go with temping. But that's just my opinion :-)
@dolphin012 - sorry again for your loss. Sending you hugs and support.
Hoping for some BFP's soon!! Good luck everyone!!
ME: 36 (PCOS), DH: excellent SA NTNP since 11/12, actively trying since 8/14

5. I'm feeling good! Got my period this week, which actually made me very happy. It was my first cycle off of BC, and I was afraid that it would take time for my body to adjust to not having the pill. However, I showed signs of ovulating last cycle, and my period came in within 5 weeks, so I'm hoping that's a good sign.
QOTW: My husband and I have three (stuffed) tigers that were meant as a joke, but surprisingly offer endless hours of entertainment. My nickname for my husband is Tiger, and when we were dating, the zoo had a pair of tiger cubs born. As a fundraiser at the zoo you can adopt animals. I adopted the cubs and got a stuffed mom and two cubs as a Christmas present for DH. When were dating and living apart, my husband would pose the tigers around the house and send pictures and stories about them, which we still do now. The "cubs" were playing chess most of the week on the coffee table, which DH was the slowest game in the history of chess.
I also have two zebra finches: J. Pierrepont and Atticus (though DH refers to them as Stinky and Smelly).
Hugs to @dolphin02 and everyone else having a rough week.
1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.
Tomerine, MA
2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
TTC #2 since January
3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
Temping, OPKs, prenatal vitamin, Clomid new this cycle
4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
It's O day... or should be because I got the solid smiley yesterday
5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Blah. I'm getting a little worn out with all of it. Temping, obsessing about foods and did we BD enough and at the right time, and why isn't BD as fun when that smiley face is telling you to do it? Could someone just tell me what to do, and whether or not it's going to work out this month? That would be great. Thanks.
QOTW: Are you an animal person? Share if you have (or wish you had) any furry friends at home (or scaly etc .
Yes! I love animals. We have 2 cats, but I always wanted a horse growing up. I tried to convince my Dad that if we had one, he wouldn't have to mow the lawn.
@dolphin012 I'm so sorry again for what you're going through.
@suziq1978 I'm sorry that you're out, especially when you'd like to keep trying. But I hope you have a happy birthday, at least!
@jilligan14 I love acupuncture! I've been thinking about going back for a few months now. If it doesn't work out this month, maybe I will. It's so relaxing and so helpful! Enjoy!
Vent: Half the time when I try to tag someone, it doesn't work! Argh.
1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.
Heather from MN
2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
TTC #2 for 14 months (with a few unplanned breaks)
3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
IUI #6 - hopefully. Baseline ultrasound tomorrow to check for cysts. Fingers crossed.
4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
CD2
5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Anxious. This is it. If our last insurance covered IUI is a bust, our only choice will be IVF. I'd start the process today but my hubby just isn't there yet. He wants to do this last IUI before moving on.
QOTW: Are you an animal person? Share if you have (or wish you had) any furry friends at home (or scaly etc .
I have one pooch - Bella (in my pic). She's a bichon. I've always had dogs and cats growing up.
Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
@Suziq1978 - I'm so sorry. I hoped you would get lucky before your deadline.
@Tomerine - are you having any monitoring with your Clomid? Baseline or mid-cycle ultrasounds? I hope this cycle works for you (I got lucky on my first round of Clomid with my daughter). But if you don't, please make sure your doctor does an ultrasound before you start another cycle. Clomid can cause ovarian cysts and even worse, can thin your lining BIG TIME. My RE was shocked I was able to sustain my first pregnancy because my lining was so thin from the Clomid. He refused to give it to me again this time around (even though I wanted to try what worked last time). Your doctor should also do a follicle check before ovulation to make sure you're not at risk for higher order multiples.
@jilligan14 - so happy for you with your new insurance. And I hope you love acupuncture as much as I do!! I'm starting at a new place next week. My lady is on maternity leave and the guy she has subbing for her has awful hours for my schedule.

2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.? TTC #1, this is my 11th cycle.
3. What are you doing this cycle? We finally decided to seek help of an RE, and after all the tests (more details on my intro), this is my first follistim+IUI cycle.
4. Where are you in your cycle? WTO (2nd day of follistim, have US on Monday)
5. How do you feel about this cycle? I'm just happy that we now have a diagnosis. Trying not to get too excited, since it's gonna be out first assisted try.
QOTW: Are you an animal person? Definitely! Have 2 of the cutest little mutts in the world! :x
@SnnyFlwr - if you have any questions about Follistim IUI, let me know. I've done several. There are others here who have done IUI and injectables too.

4. I'm 11DPO and had my AF like cramping start last night. :-/ I'm on a long plane ride home from Alaska so I'm hoping it just waits until I get back. But, then Saturday starts VACATION! Whoot whoot!
5. I just feel like I'm out this cycle. Ah well. I've still got a lot to look forward to this summer!
5. How do you feel about this cycle? I've lost all the anxious excitement, which is good and bad. I had all the up and down feelings for so long and now I'm just sorta blah. Not obsessing is a relief, but I miss being excited. Work has been insane this week, so that's contributing to my current zombie-like state.
QOTW: Are you an animal person? I have a zoology degree and was a zookeeper at Busch Gardens before going back to get a design degree. I've had a dog, cats, rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, gerbils, a turtle, a very large iguana, and a ring-necked turtle dove. In college, I was working on getting a license to have a cougar as a pet, but after working with them for months, I decided it wasn't a safe idea. (They can hurt you without meaning to.) Now I'm happy with my two housecats.
@suziq1978, I'm so sorry it didn't happen for you.

@emsmama15 I'm not currently being monitored, which I know is a big no-no around here (I'm hanging my head in shame). I talked with my dr and a good friend who is on her 2nd month with Clomid and hasn't been monitored and decided to just go with it this month and see what happens. If it's not in the cards for this month, I will absolutely talk with my dr again before taking it again, to discuss monitoring. I've been reading up on how to encourage/maintain a good lining naturally as well, though I understand that may not work if the med really does a number, like it did for you. And certainly, if I am lucky enough to find myself pregnant this month, I will be in touch with her about some early ultrasounds to make sure all looks ok. Thanks for the advice, though. I think I'm partly avoiding the idea that things won't come together for us. But I know head in the sand isn't the best long-term strategy. :-<
I didn't want to be a big old know-it-all, so I wasn't even going to say anything @Tomerine, but I did want to make sure you get checked for lining and cysts since I know first hand about those things.

No worries @emsmama15! It's good to get a kick in the pants once, especially when you feel like you're kind of being lax because you're so overwhelmed by a) the roller coaster of TTC and b) the crap that life has thrown at you recently (it's been a really tough year for my family). I've been really ho-hum lately, so it's good to be reminded to stay on top of things.
4. Cd16, pretty sure I'm 1dpo....my temps have been very rocky, however I did get peak readings on clearblue digital and positive Wondfo opk strips.
5. I feel nervous and kind of blah at the same time. So sick of stressing out over every temp and/or opk and pg test result. Like enough already, I've got to find a new way to cope with the roller coaster.
QOTW: I have always had pets growing up. In childhood I had cats, a dog, chickens, rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, fish, birds, snakes...even a tarantula. I don't know how the hell my mother managed so many animals and kids! My adult years have been more tame in the pet owning department. We have two cats :x
1- Jennifer from NY 2- TTC #2 although not just yet I'm holding off until the end of summer 3-I am trying to lose weight, charting starting to temp 4-CD22 5- not much to feel this month but maybe a little hopeful. We had a couple of oops moments a few days before I O'd so who knows.
QOTW- love animals. We have a 5 1/2 year old gsd/malamute/husky mix. Love her to death. Want to add a pure gsd to the mix but hubby said not yet. We also use to have a malamute but he crossed the rainbow bridge 2 years ago this October.
I'm glad I got to know a little bit more about some of the ladies on the board through this check in. My heart breaks for those going through a tough time, and I get happy for the ones that have something to celebrate (even tiny little victories).
