Genetic testing-annoyed!

Tomorrow it will be 4 weeks since my d&c. I received a call from the doctor that the genetic results were in. I was somewhat anxious because I wanted some explanation of why this happened. Unfortunately, the procedure for getting the DNA from the cells did not work, so there were no results! And they don't try it again apparently since it is my first mc. It is kind of unnerving that after all that wait, they come up with nothing...venting over.

Wow, it seems like they would do that over. I know we had two Missed Mc's and so when labeled with "multiple miscarriages" insurance covered it, but we still had to pay hundreds out of pocket! I'm so sorry!

We asked about the testing and my doctor said it only worked 40% of the time. Also, the earlier the loss, the less material there is to test, making it more difficult. Sorry for your loss and waiting for an answer only to find out you won't get it.
