The Waddle

I feel like I can start my own new dance craze with this waddling going on. Anyone waddling along with me? Baby has dropped and I am so uncomfortable from all of the pressure. I am 36 weeks and 2 days. I feel like these next couple of weeks are going to be VERY long.

Re: The Waddle

  • I'm in the same boat here. I hate when my legs rub together which I think contributes to my waddling.

  • Baby hasn't dropped yet (I don't think) but my pelvis is so messed up due to this "relaxin" bs that there is not only waddling but a bit of one leg being higher than the other. It's wicked cute.
  • Baby hasn't dropped yet for me either - but like PP - the relaxin' that's happening down there has caused me to waddle like a champ. My waddle is also slightly lopsided because my left side hurts significantly more than my right. Aside from walking, me getting in and out of the SUV in any parking lot is quite the show lol. I have made my peace with it.
  • With my first pregnancy I was waddling at this point, bad. I'm much smaller this time around and I don't seem to have the waddle (or not yet at least). I also don't think I've dropped just yet either.

  • For me it depends.  If I have been sitting or standing for too long, the waddle kicks in once I get moving.

    This is me too.
  • my baby hasn't dropped yet (so I still can't breathe).  but I am unfortunately starting to waddle anyway.  I think its just from fat and exhaustion?

  • When I stand first thing in the morning I feel like a flamingo walking for the first time. Trying to get my feet planted under me properly so I can take the first step without falling over. Loose hips suck! I suppose when I am squeezing the head out I will appreciate the loose hips, but for walking...no Bueno!!! Le sigh

I am having twins, and baby a has dropped so I am waddling like a champ but baby b is still all up in my ribs so I can't breathe! Thanks boys! :)
  • I thought I was doing fine until my husband pointed out to me this weekend that I was waddling :( now I'm self concious. The baby has not dropped yet.
  • YES! I think I am waddling simply because I cannot stand my thighs rubbing together. Ugh..
  • Most of the time no, but add in needing to pee or this Charlie horse I keep getting in my leg and I start to look like a lame penguin.
  • I get the waddle going when I've been on my feet too long or when the need to pee kicks in. My husband finds it so hilarious and is constantly picking on me. Though I can't stay mad at him because he's too cute picking on me. Baby hasn't dropped yet so I gather I'm in for some fun when he finally does.
