When will the discharge stop???

im BF and pumping as well as formula feeding 3 week old DS. 3 weeks. And there's still discharge on my underwear! It seems like there's less when I pump but still...
Anybody got some insight?

You should expect to bleed 4-6 weeks after delivery. For some people, it will stop at 3-4 weeks but then return. After 6 weeks if you're bleeding, it is likely your period returning.

I'm surprised your doctor or a nurse didn't warn you about this before you left the hospital.

Yep, six weeks for me... First 3-4 weeks it was decreasing, then at 4 weeks it actually increased, then eventually stopped around 6. Some of it is lochia (look it up) and for me some of it was related to my stitches.  I'm now 8 weeks pp and all is a-ok.

I knew I'd have a lot in the beginning post birth what with my uterus shrinking back; I just didn't know it'd still be happening. But thank you for letting me know that this is still normal.
