Due date moved up?

Hey ladies, at my last ultrasound, baby measured ahead of time with measurements moving due date of August 9 to July 30. My ob said we'd keep my original due date, but she wanted to induce at 39 weeks. Anyone experience this?

Yes baby is measuring ahead and its in the 97th percentile. The doc did not move my original due date but she will induce at 39 weeks (if baby doesn't come before) because he is large.

My due date is Aug 2, but he is big as well so my doc wants to induce the week prior. (She also scheduled me for an end of pregnancy ultrasound next week to check his size again...might be moved up again depending on his size).

I hate that they are making some of you have an induction just because of a size ESTIMATE. The estimates are almost always over. For those of you wanting to avoid a C- section i will pray that you start naturally and avoid pitocin. I pray the same for myself but being high risk i have to be induced at 38w and chances are pretty slim I'll start on my own.

So, they changed your due date? I definitely don't want a c-section or induction just because of size.

My baby is measuring 2-4 weeks ahead in all the different categories, is estimated at 98 percentile for weight, and my doctor isn't touching my due date (I had a dating ultrasound at 6 weeks 2 days that matched exactly when my temp tracking showed I ovulated, so we are sure the EDD is right). I am having an RCS anyway, but she hasn't even considered moving it from 39 weeks 6 days where it is right now. I really don't think she would try if I wasn't scheduled for an RCS though. Even she said that the growth ultrasounds are really inaccurate and could be off by 1.5 lbs (I've heard 2 from other sources). My daughter ended up with 2 growth ultrasounds 3 weeks apart, and one showed her in the 30s for percentile and the other in the 60s. They just aren't that accurate. My mom had me 2 weeks late, and I was 10 lbs, and she had no issues delivering vaginally.

They r thinking of moving my due date as well. It was supposed to be July 25th according to my period. But the beg ultrasound said Aug 7th so they stuck with that. Then at 33 weeks I measured 37. Last week at 35 I measured 41 so I go bck Monday to have an ultrasound to see why n they may move my due date then. This is my third pregnancy n this has never happened to me before.

Thank you ladies. I think I'm going to say no to induction. I'll just let him come when he's ready.

I hope you don't need to be induced. Fight the power! Let baby be - and resist:)
