Asherman's? TMI warning

I have a doctor appointment next week to check on my healing progress. Especially checking for asherman's. My period is extremely short and I have very horrible cramps. TMI---the color of it is dark brown/really dark red. Has anyone gotten help from this or any experience with it? Please let me know. I know I shouldn't worry but my doctor's appointment today just put me in a funk and can't push the thought away... :(
