I know you aren't supposed to use them because they are a safety hazard, but my LO moves so much when she sleeps and she knocks her head on the hard wood of the crib multiple times throughout her naps and during the night. Is there anything safe I can use to avoid this?

There is also a lot of information available online from the American Academy of Pediatrics on safe sleeping that you can easily access. Most pediatricians follow AAP's guidelines.
I've used a mesh, breathable crib bumber since she was born. It's still not recommended, but is a better option than a thick bumper pad. It works fine for us.
