So, true confessions. I haven't bought or worn full-butt underwear in at least 10 years. I've been a thong girl since my ass let me know it was going to be too big to be comfortably accommodated by regular panties. (I'm not a big person-- size 4 generally-- just...amply bottomed.) So I know thongs aren't gonna cut it (heh!) post-partum. Do you have a favorite brand of undies that you just love? Especially the curvy ladies? I'd hate to go buy the cheapest thing Target offers only to find out they're terribly uncomfortable just when my nethers are most vulnerable!!
Re: Um, can I ask about your underwear?
Go cheap and big... You won't wear them more than a few weeks. Comfort is all that matters.
@kelseyrayay hahhaha a bandaid for Godzilla
I just ordered these -- I had them when I was pp with my first son but that was back in '07... I am hoping they are the same bc let me tell you, they were heavenly. I am strictly a thong girl too, but these are awesome for the first several weeks after... Soft & roomy but I still felt somewhat feminine. You can get different colors.
Of course, these were AFTER I finished my mesh underwear stash! Those cant be beat!
In those first few weeks when you were still bleeding & had the giant pads & giant underwear did you leave the house or stay home? I doubt I'll be able to fit into the pre-pregnancy jeans whose structure is better at masking underwear lines etc., but there must be something that looks ok to wear out. I'm always super uncomfortable leaving the house in maxi skirts w/ underwear lines (I only ever wear them with thongs) and I can't imagine going out with the equivalent of a diaper under there crinkling around etc. I don't want to be stuck at home either though, so I guess I'm wondering how noticeable it was to others what you've got going on down there?
I know!! I THOUGHT my hospital was perfect until I saw that picture and then I realized they have been holding out on me, I never got a pad like that with DS...

I had 3 hospital provided sizes before I moved on to store bought. Three special pad sizes!!
Seriosily, we are amazing. And if it hasn't been said today, men could never do this
