Nissan Rogue- anyone drive it?

We are expecting twins in December/January and on the hunt for an SUV that will hold two car seats with good trunk space.  Does anyone drive the Nissan Rogue with multiples and recommend it?

I have read positive reviews of the Honda Pilot on here, which we are also looking at, but wanted to get some feedback on the Rogue as well if possible.

Re: Nissan Rogue- anyone drive it?

  • I'm your gal! I traded in my Nissan Rogue for a Honda Pilot in November. I am not a picky car person but I absolutely hated the Rogue. Blind spots were terrible. It had zero power (we were passed by a Prius on the way to the mountains). It was exta loud and just overall cheaply done I thought. As far as space goes, it likely has enough space for two car seats but I traded it in before I had my babies. Love the Honda Pilot. It's much roomier, no blind spots, drives well, has power. I think there are at least 5 car seat-ready seats in it - easy to install and nice to have options. Plenty of trunk room for a double stroller, especially with 3rd row seats being down. My only complaint really is that it's hard to access the 3rd row with 2 car seats in the second row. We have a 3rd child so we thought that was important but she can actually sit comfortably next to the twins in the 2nd row so it ended up being a non-issue.
  • @blairdavis99 thank you so much! That information is SO helpful and just what we needed.  My only other question is do you think there is enough room between two car seats in the Pilot for an adult to sit? I am not a very big person, and wonder if I will need to be back there on longer trips if things get dicey?

  • Yes we have the car seats in the middle seat and behind the passenger seat. There is plenty of space behind the driver's seat for me to sit (I can reach both kids to feed them, hold pacifiers, Etc) from there. We tried one car seat on each side with the free space in the middle but my husband is tall and couldn't recline back far enough to drive comfortably with a seat behind him. Plus, I read that the middle seat is actually the safest.

I also currently drive a Pilot & love it! I haven't had my twins yet so I can't give experience with babies in it but as a car in general, it is fabulous!!!
