Looks like I'll be packing...

...my hospital bag tomorrow. I will only be 36 weeks this weekend but I had some pretty intense pain after DH left for work tonight. Finally went away after a couple of hours but there was no way I could have gotten everything together had it been the real thing. And actually I'm not even worried about me. The only must have items I need if it came right down to it would be some chapstick, a hair tie and my camera, all of which I have been keeping in my purse. I am more worried about having a bag packed for DS. I would hate to send him off to grandma's and he not have what he needs!

I just packed my bag tonight as well. My house would look like a "Keystone Cops" movie if I went into labor and it wasn't ready.

I packed my sons bag this past weekend since he will be staying at our friends house when the time comes. However mine and babies bag that's another story I haven't even started lol.

I'm doing mine tomorrow. Had my first cervical check today and my OB immediately said "oh yea, this baby is definitely coming early." Yikes!

Um... I can't believe I haven't thought of packing a ready bag for DS!!!! Thanks nks for the reminder. I was going to do mine this weekend, but hadn't even thought about one for him to take to be with family for a few days. Mom of the year here!

Oh wow! Can you share any early warning signs or do you still feel the same? I'm so curious because I asked my doc if there's any way to tell and she was like "no".... I was bummed. But I'm just now 36 w and haven't had a cervical exam yet.

I feel the exact same! I haven't had any BH, was surprised to find out that she's head down and dropped (I know it's about that time but I still can't damn breathe). However I've also been on bed rest due to tachycardia so it could be that bc I'm taking it easy, my body is taking it easy on me? No idea.

My OB said I'm 70% effaced at this point and she didn't have to go far to feel her head, meaning she's very low. That's what caused her to deduce that she'll be an early baby. She estimated perhaps 2.5 weeks more. I know there's no way to truly tell, but it's definitely making me get my butt in gear getting everything in order!

@messymolly08 I was told the same thing today! I am 1cm dilated and 80% effaced and my baby is head down and LOW. After hearing all the talk on this board about how the cervical checks don't really mean anything, I asked my Dr what the significance of all that meant and she said she thinks it's very likely my girl will get here before my due date. So now I don't know what to think!

I also asked my doctor if I could deny the cervical checks and she said yes but she did want to check at least once to make sure the baby isnt breach. At least they're good for that lol
