Birth control choices

for those of you mommies actually using birth control...what kind did you opt for? I got the Nexplanon implant and wonder if anyone has experience with it!

I just got it as well! The iud freaked me out too much. I still have a little bruising and I got it about 2 weeks ago. Had some bleeding start about 5 days ago and it's starting to let up now. Otherwise noncomplaints yet. Just hope the unexpected bleeding thing doesn't keep happening.

@SmrBrd2012 my NP said the unexpected bleeding could keep up for the first couple months then most people are golden! My bruise is nasty lol, but I just got mine yesterday. I refuse to get an IUD I know someone who has to have a hysterectomy at 23 because her IUD got lodged in her endometrium.

Ugh! I am so done with bleeding. It of course started finally when I stopped my post partum bleeding. Poor hubs is nowhere near getting any yet, lol. I was worried about the bruising but it does eventually go down! Mine is almost gone now.

Yeah the potential but rare side effects of the IUD bothered me and it just seemed too invasive but I knew I couldn't be dependable with taking the mini pill at the same time every day. Nexplanon seems like the perfect fit. Im surprised more people dont get it over the IUD. Hope it goes well for the both of us!
