Sending prayers and congrats! I delivered my daughter 5 years at 28 weeks due to severe preeclampsia and I find myself sitting in the hospital as we speak at 28 weeks with symptoms of it again! Preemies are fighters!
Oh my goodness, that must've been scary! I'm sure this situation is not what you expected but you've done it Mama! Congratulations on your baby girl Madison! Stay strong Mama, I'm sending you and your family positive thoughts! Please keep us informed on how you and your little girl are doing!
That must've been absolutely terrifying! I'm so glad you both are doing well for the circumstances. Congratulations on your baby girl! Please do keep us updated, will keep you and your daughter in my thoughts. Fingers crossed she'll do so well she can come home a bit early!
What a scary situation to go through, but I'm so happy to hear you and her are doing well! Will be thinking of you all....and I love her name! Congratulations!
Thank you all so much for the prayers, love, and support. Everything has been so overwhelming lately, I appreciate this corner of happiness.
I am still in the hospital however the doctors and nurses say that I am progressing well and should be able to go home on Saturday. They are monitoring my blood pressure very carefully (taking it every 10 mins!), everything little thing makes it uptick so I have to be careful here and when I go home. Once home I can't go to work, drive, anything for 6 weeks. Luckily I have the best boss ever and she has been super supportive of me taking whatever time I need, both now and when I bring the baby home this fall, so work is something I don't have to worry about so much.
Madison is doing well! (I'm glad you all like her name. DH and I were tossing a few around and just had to hurry up and pick) She needs a blood transfusion however the NICU doctor assured us this is mostly routine because they don't want her to hemorrhage. They are going to do the transfusion and everything else is going well so far but as you all know, one day at a time.
She weighs in at 1 pound 4 ounces; my little Thumbelina! I love her to pieces already.
Blood transfusions are definitely part of the process. I'm glad she's gaining! Preemies really are so tough. Your family will continue to be in my thoughts.
Good to read an update That little girl is a fighter! Every good day is a whole 24 hours into the right direction. Very happy she's doing so good. Unfortunate that you wont be able to do much, but that was quite the event on your body. Just take it easy, no use forcing anything. Really hope you're back to health soon.
Thumbelina!! Ughh too cute! You both sound like very strong women. Good luck to you both and I'm sure everything will be fine. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Congrats on your gorgeous little angel!
