So, they've decided to go ahead with the steroid shots. Just had the first one and after only 45mins my bgl shot up 35points with no food/drink. I have to have the 2nd one tomorrow afternoon. My kidneys are now screaming at me and I can't seem to get comfy. Not to mention, they don't warn you the shots hurt like hell. Oh well, anything to keep this little girl in longer!! Thanks for all the help

Have any of you ladies who have GD been told anything about getting a steroid shot to strengthen the babies lungs? I'm in L&D again and was told by the nurse the doctor ordered it, but when he came by he said we would forego it for now because of my GD. He doesn't want my sugar levels to
Go crazy. I'm so worried that not having the steroid shots will hurt more than having them. Any advice? Doc will be back in a few hours, but until then my nurse keeps telling me to trust him.
