Picking between 2 family names for boy. Last name Brown. Thanks for your input

    Ok I recognize that I might have the humor of a 12 year old, but I'm not sold on a name that has mn/ln combo XYZ Pope Brown. But between those first names, I like both :)
      

         TTC #1 --- BFP #1 5/15, loss at 5 weeks --- BFP #2 12/15, loss at 4+3 --- RE testing 3/16 normal, still trying for our rainbow

    Daniel "poop" brown. Can't do it.

    Elias doesn't elicit the same reaction for me though.

    Is Pope your maiden name or other huge significance?  With Brown it does give off the poop reference and it's also odd because I think of The Pope. Of the first names I prefer Elias.

    I voted for Daniel. First thing I thought of with Elias Pope was Eli Pope from Scandal...but maybe that's just me!

    pope is not negotiable. This will be the 5th male with pope as a middle name on my husbands side. You know, we're wacky in the south.

    Well I love Pope! I love family names and it's so cool that this baby is the 5th with this shared name. Daniel is one of my favorite names; it's classic and strong. That's my vote!

    Same here.
    And since I prefer Eli to Elias, the association wouldn't go away.
