Boys names!

im due in 2 weeks and feeling do frustrated! Hubs and I narrowed our boys list down to wesley, callum or rory (mn Paul)... Of course everyone is asking what we will name the baby, and I've made the mistake of telling people our options---I have gotten SO many negative responses about our choices! It is so frustrating. Specifically, callum, which we originally both loved. For those of you liking callum, where are you from? Im from america and it is very uncommon/unheard of here, reminding many of calimine lotion. Help me!!!

I love Callum. I'm on the east coast in the US. I personally don't know anyone named Callum, but I think it's a great name and not too out there.

I like Callum. I'm in the southern US. It isn't a common name, but not unheard of. If a friend/family member said they were using it, I certainly wouldn't tell them it's awful.

Midwest US. Never met a Callum but like it. Really love the nn Cal. Wesley is okay. Not a fan or Rory.

Ok, thank you for the encouragement. I think what I decided tonight is to go for what I love and dismiss others opinions. And if I'm ever blessed with a 4th bsby, I have learned to keep name ideas a secret until we officially decide as a couple. I figure the name will grow on those who don't like it right now. Thanks all!

I love Rory.

Rory or Wesley. Callum doesn't do it for me, I think of ironically enough talcum powder, I'm in the Northeast.

That said, I wouldn't side eye a Callum, it's just NMS.

I like Rory Paul the best. Wesley is nice also. I'm in the midwest and I've never heard of Callum until this board. It's nms.

I love Callum, and I am in central Florida. I have only heard of one other Callum. He's 2 years old.

When I see callum, all I can focus on is "cum".... :l
I've heard it before (in the U.S.). I don't think it's that uncommon.

I prefer callen... Nothing wrong with Wesley or Rory.

I think all three are great! And I'm in the US and don't think Callum is weird at all- it's a great and underused name. Remember, people always have their own opinions but as long as you aren't giving your child a completely made up name, go with what you love. I hate my niece's name but now that's she's 2, I no longer hate it, because I love her, so I think of her name with positive feelings. The same will go for your LO.

I have a Calum! He's the only one in his school & we love the name. I also only know one other one, our vet named his son that b/c he loved it so much. Good luck
