Thoughts on sprinkles?

My best friends just asked me if they can throw me a sprinkle. I wasn't quite sure what to say as I don't really know how I feel about them. I'm actually pretty indifferent, but I don't now what the majority of other people think. So. what do you think? Tacky or no? Btw my first is a girl and this one will be a boy.

    As long as they are throwing it not you. It is a sprinkle which will be small and no registry. It is not tacky. I know there are a lot of rules but this is what's considered okay.

    ETA I didn't know any of this till i came on the bump with DD2

    I think if it's low key between friends it's totally fine.
    I've thrown a few for my group of friends. They've only been 5-10 people and usually just a lunch date with all us girls where we bring small gifts.
    A full on shower is a little tacky to me but I know I some circles it done.

    I think I will mention maybe just getting together for brunch or something like that. I know they want to do something this time because my sisters threw my shower the first time.

    Brunch sounds like the perfect idea. I love giving new babies presents so I would be happy to go to a low key event. I usually don't go to a second shower if it's a full on shower.

    I think it's fine. Especially if the second child is of the opposite sex as you probably won't be using hand me down clothes. Sounds like fun to me!

    I have nothing against a small low key affair with close friends. Just have them keep it casual and don't advertise any sort of registry.

    Me too. I was hopeful about a food thread about ice cream or cupcakes.
