So much spitting up?

Does anyone else have a constant stream of regurgitated milk flowing out of their adorable little baby!? I mean constant. The pediatrician said it was totally normal and that it should taper off, but it's getting really old. I have to change clothes almost as often as she does, and she has more costume changes than Lady Gaga! She never seems upset by it, it's more that it's just nasty.

Yep! All day every day! I'm constantly covered in vomit. I'm not so squeamish, so it doesn't bother me that much. He has a cold this week which has basically doubled it - AND changed the consistency, it's thick and filled with mucus ugh. It's just the worst. The laundry is getting old for sure. I feel your pain, supposedly it peaks at 4 months, mine is 12 weeks. So almost there? Haha

Thankfully we haven't had to deal with sick spit up yet! But yeah, the laundry! THE LAUNDRY!! Hang in there. We won't be covered in vomit forever!

Yup. And my baby has acid reflux. you might want to ask your Dr if there could be a possibility that your baby could have it?!

My daughter threw up constantly and gagged for no reason. All she did was scream bloody murder all day long. I finally realized it wasn't normal and took her to her pedi two weeks ago. Low and behold, she has acid reflux. She takes zantac twice a day and is so much happier now. She hasn't spit up since! We also switch formulas, which helped. She breast feeds about 75% of the time and does formula with daddy when he gets home from work or I need a break. She is on one for sensitive tummies.

Mine does and it was acid reflux and protein allergies. She is on hypoallergenic formula now and almost never spits up.

Yup. Acid reflux. Zantac generic is called ranitidine and works for our baby. Ask your doc :)

Same thing happens with us multiple times a day and we did learn he has acid reflux. He would cry/scream in pain all day long, especially after eating and burping. He's on Zantac now twice a day which helps with the pain but he's still spitting up. When he spits up its so much, literally what seems to be an ounce of pure liquid pours out of his mouth and sometimes thick white curdled milk. However, he doesn't seem to be in as much pain since he's been on the Zantac. When we started out on the Zantac I was giving him 1.25ml twice a day when he was about 9lbs now he's about 13lbs and he's on 2ml 2x a day. Also, with the Zantac he does still spit up it has only helped with the pain. I don't know that I would say it's normal bc any of my friends who have children are completely shocked at the amount he spits up but maybe it's normal for a baby with reflux. Our Pediatrician says, as long as he's not in pain then when he gets older the spit up will lessen and he may out grow it. We're going to a Pediatric GI specialist tomorrow bc he also suffers from extreme gas pains. It's just too much on him, he's constantly uncomfortable on a daily basis!! I would talk to your pediatrician about the possibility of her having acid reflux and putting her on Zantac especially if she's in pain while she spits. Also try holding her/sitting her upright for 30 minutes after she eats, that seems to help us!
