Gender reassurance

Please reassure me that this is a girl. We had an elective scan at 16 weeks and were told a girl. We have a son already so a girl was my hope. I've read of them being wrong so I'm being paranoid about it.. Waiting for my 20 scan is driving me nuts!

Um, just a warning, people on here hate these types of baby's sex questions and hate it when you use the word gender and not sex..

You won't get much help on this board but maybe try the What to Expect app, I've lurked in there a few times and it seems most of them don't mind guessing sex.

I have seen a total of 3 fetal u/s in my life (all of them mine) , if I'm really lucky sometimes I can find the head. Your u/s tech has done hundreds if not thousands of fetal u/s. Why would you want the opinion of a bunch of Internet strangers (who are not educated in the topic), over that of a professional that does this for a living.

It's sex of your child not gender. A person's gender, has to do with more of his or her own self-identity or roles and stereotypes that society considers normal or acceptable behaviours.
Androids don't let you post pics.
You should really have faith in a trained tech, because as far as I'm aware no one is a qualified Ultrasound Tech.

First there is a post on how to post from phone but as you posted this you haven't used the search function. But if you still feel the need to post the picture even though we can't give you a guess any better than an 8 ball. You must go through browser on phone not the app to post pictures.

Your u/s tech is definitely a better judge of your baby's sex (not gender, as others have already pointed out) than any of us Bumpies will be.  I would trust them.  If you're really concerned, just hold off on registering/buying stuff until your anatomy scan when they can get a better look at more developed features.

If you were told it's a girl then chances are good that it is a girl. They could be wrong though and with or without your ultrasound images I have no way of knowing. Honestly I hardly know what I'm looking at when the tech or doc are describing it to me on the screen.

If not, you are not qualified, the same as us to give an answer. This is not being mean this is being truthful. We should not sit around saying to each one of these poster "Ohhh gurl your Doctor is totes wrong it's a glitter unicorn or whatever you want it to be".

My daughter would be the happiest girl in the entire world if she was big sister to a glitter unicorn.

WTAF? Lady you have literally given nothing but a handful of complaints on this board wow what a great contributor you've been. You and I are both not qualified to make a gander on the genetalia of her unborn child. Particularly because she doesn't believe the person she paid to tell her if it was innie or outie.
