WTH Hubby?!

So, we are naming our little girl Charlotte Jean. This board has been sooooo very helpful! With that said, DH emails me from work Friday and says some people from work asked if he was going to call her Charlee, and he'd like to call her that! So, we have a beautiful, classic name, and he's going to ruin it! Lol! Anyway, any thoughts? I plan on calling her Charlotte, and left it at that! Should I just leave it alone?

    Lol. Your husband. I'm with you and hate the nn Charlie but that being said I would leave it. You can call her Charlotte, you can introduce her as such and your DH can use Charlie as his little pet name. Personally if using a nn I prefer Lottie but love Charlotte as just that. I do know several people where mom using one name and the husband a different nn and it's not big deal. Considering the battle it's been with your husband on names I think this is worth it.

    Just tell him he can call her Charlie, but he might get hit in the head with a frying pan whenever he does because that is a trigger word for you.

    When you get mad at her, call her Charlie. She'll hate it as much as you do. I'm kidding. Don't do this. It's devastating.

    Me either....but Charlee?! Lol! I'll take it! I got Charlotte!! Beggars can't be choosers!!! Lol
