It's so funny that people say it's a pet name and surname. I've never know one animal with name Chase and it is a surname but also a legit first name.

I really like it. It was on our short list. I've never known a pet named Chase and I must like verb names because Grant and Reid were also top contenders.

Not my style, but I don't think there's something really wrong with it. Not a pet name, in my opinion.
