what the heck has happened to my body!?

I am 17w5d and no bump yet. HOWEVER, I get so bloated, I swear I look 6 months pregnant. My waistline is gone. I haven't really gained weight, I just look kind of fat now. Can anyone relate? I see all these cute bump pics from other people and I feel so ugly!

Don't worry, I felt like this for a while without much of a bump and basically a bloat bump!  But now, I'm 18w2d and it's developed much more into the shape of a baby bump!  I've definitely gained weight, so it is a change but don't worry you will eventually see the bloat change into "baby":)  Everyone goes at their own pace!

  • Yes, same here...
  • This is my second baby and I'm still not fully showing.
This is common. Even the women who have posted bump pics- the bumps are just their intestines and organs at this point. Their babies are still low.

In the morning I do not look pregnant. Maybe a little chubby. In the evening I have a bump but it's only because of my organs that are pushed up. I have only gained 3 pounds.

Being a FTM you will stay this way until 20-22 weeks.
  • Oh I totally feel that way... 15 weeks, can't wear my clothes, even my shirts don't look right. But I definitely feel like I just look fluffy, not preggers at all. I am hoping by next week when I go on vacation to the beach that I'll be feeling more pregnant and less flabby, but I kinda doubt it.
  • I've got more of a lump. My whole body looks lumpy to me, and my butt feels huge. I'm 17 weeks 2 days and up 5 pounds but feel ginormous.
  • No haven't really gotten use to my body I just feel like I'm looking fat and now my coworkers ask me but look afraid even tho I haven't kept it a secret. I'm 18 weeks but look huge.
  • You are growing a baby, you are beautiful! Don't worry, before you know it, you'll get your cute little bump that you're waiting for.
  • I've been feeling like this too! My hubby has been so supportive (thank god). I was whining about it to him the other night about how bloated I feel and all my chins!
I swear, I eat half as much as I did before (stomach shrunk from a 3 month puke-fest) and I feel 6x more bloated than I have in my life after eating.
So I just let people think my "blump" is my baby bump...it's not worth arguing with the old ladies who insist you're 8 months preggo lol
