Miscarriage or Not???

hi, this is my first pregnancy and my
First post.

Last Monday I was 7w7d when my doc sent me for an urgent ultrasound, in the morning I had some discharge with spots of brown blood(but my husband I had sex the night before, so I didn't think much of it). At this point I had already had 2 dating ultrasound, one at 4 weeks and one at 6 weeks. At 6 weeks we saw the embryo and saw a HB (134bpm). When I went for final US(last Monday) I was told the sac was empty, there was no embryo my doc said I should expect some cramping and bleeding, but I've had neither so far.
Some of my pregnancy symptoms are tapering off (constipation, bloating), but new ones are also starting (tender breasts, bleeding gums).
What are the chances the final US tech just missed the embryo?
Is it too early to have a negative at home pregnancy test?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated:)

I didn't get a negative pregnancy test until a week after my d&c. The earlier the pregnancy loss, the less HCG there is. However, you body may hang onto it longer or release it faster. Dollar tree HPT read at 25 and were accurate for me to watch my hormone trend down. Sorry for your loss.
