Misoprostol for MC

We were told at ultrasound appointment yesterday that we had a blighted ovum. So I was given Misoprostol to take. It was some of the worst pain I've ever felt. It felt like the first time I passed kidney stones. Is that what labor feels like?

We were told we couldn't have children, so now at least we know that pregnancy is a possibility. We will just keep trying. Now for our rainbow baby.

    I'm so sorry for your loss! Yes, labor is painful and in my experience worse than misoprostol/cytotec treatment. However the outcome of those two things are (usually) VERY different. I would say that a miscarriage is just sad and painful and you are only left with grieve. While labor on the other hand is (extremely)painful and hard work, but also beautiful, exiting and magical at the same time because you are bringing a new life to the world - your perfect baby!
