Hiking mamas

Now that our bumps are bigger, where do you wear your waist strap? Over or under the bump?

I've been hiking a lot less this year  :( We used to do at least 8 miles a weekend. ANYWAYS, I haven't been carrying a pack. I've been putting everything in my DH daypack, since I don't carry more than water and lunch for the most part. If I did wear my pack I think I would have to put it under the belly. I would still want that weight on my hips. I don't need anything else throwing my balance off at the moment.

I hike for my job, usually btw 18-22km a day. I don't like the feeling of having the waist band over my bump, especially in the New Mexico heat right now, so I usually wear it below. I have a backpack with my work supplies in it and water, which makes my back especially hot. I've actually been getting heat rash on my belly this week just from the tank top I wear under my light weight work shirt, so I can't imagine adding the waist band would work out well!

I'm going this weekend for the first time since I popped. I'm guessing I'll wear it under, since I can't stand having even elastic pants above my belly.
