So I was asked by a family member if I was eating and drinking dairy products a lot...and I told her some but not a lot. She tells me if I don't drink enough milk and eat enough dairy that my milk will not come in like it should! I have NEVER heard such thing...so question is has anyone heard this before and is it true?
Dairy isn't the only source of calcium, either. Leafy greens like kale and other vegetables have buttloads of calcium. They just don't have a marketing campaign like the dairy industry.
Completely not true. My daughter actually had a cow milk protien intolerance so I couldn't eat or drink any dairy products for 6 months until she out grew it.
Not true . . . I did notice an increase in milk supply when I was BF my son whenever I drank a lot chocolate milk, but I think it was because I was getting more hydration and fats into my diet.
So enjoy your milk and cheese if you can, but that's not going to affect your milk supply.
Re: breast milk question
Eating healthy and drinking lots of water are the best things you can do.
