Eatting Habits

So Im a FTM, and i feel like I sleep TOO much but im always exhausted! I drink a breakfast essentials drink and eat maybe two things through out the day. I'm worried I'm not giving the baby enough nutrients. Has/does any one else do this?

  • My midwife recommended I eat small meals/snacks every two hours.

    I'd suggest maybe starting to snack on a few carrots, a sliced apple with peanut butter, some cheese and whole wheat crackers, nuts, maybe make a fruit smoothie, some red bell peppers, etc. those are all light and healthy snacks you can prepare before and just munch on if you get hungry and notice you haven't eaten in a few hours. Just some ideas :)

    You mentioned sleeping a lot, but maybe getting out for daily brisk walks or yoga will help you feel better and increase your appetite.
    It's odd but sometimes I feel like exhaustion begets exhaustion and breaking the cycle helps.
