I must be the exception....I didn't have most of these things you all speak of....no long labor (got to the hospital at a 5), no c-section, no pooping on the table (or none that they spoke of), no stitches (my doc did the massaging), no problems with bm's (take stool softeners), no lengthy bleeding (maybe 2 weeks-ish), no hemorrhoids, and no problems with sex.

BUT what I did have was no control over my gas while I had the epidural!!! They were the worst and I couldn't help it...plus the ENTIRE family was there.

Am I alone on this one?

I just thought of something weird. It has more to do with baby than mom, but whatever... I think it fits under the category of "things you had no idea are normal after birth".

Sometimes after birth, baby girls will bleed a little, like a mini-period. This is from withdrawal from mom's hormones, kind of like when you withdraw from the pill. It's fine.

WHAAAAT?!  i have never, ever heard of this! I'm so wrapped up in what would be happening in my vag that I never gave a 2nd thought about babys.

They will also sometimes have a yeasty discharge. This is also from the moms hormones. My DD had this for a day or so.

I'm mobile, so I can't 100% tell, but I do notice that a few folks are posting here from their Birth Month Board. While that's fine, please make sure you put a ticker warning above your post because this is still the TTGP board and that is a polite trigger warning for us ladies. It's also polite, like the PP did, to inform us you're a lurker. Cheers!

Lol, what is this BS? Since when is a trigger warning needed in TTGP? Do you make the rules around here since the mass exodus? This is hilarious.

Did I say it was a rule? I said it was polite. If it's an issue, I'll ask for this thread to be read only & no one can ask any more questions/offer experiences. ETA: and I said Ticker warning, not trigger.
    You said both, actually.

What exactly is the problem with people posting from BMB's? This isn't a loss board.

There isn't a problem. Seeing an unexpected ticker just sometimes bums people out.

I didn't say there was a problem with folks posting from their BMB, in fact I said it was fine. I just said it was polite to put a ticker warning, and yes I did say trigger, so my bad I missed that. Even regulars of this board who move on to their BMB once graduating put a ticker warning when responding to something here. This thread isn't about that, and like I said, I can ask for this thread to be read only.

Can you please point me to the board rules so I don't make any future mistakes?

You have such an attitude. It's unnecessary. It's just kind to add a ticker warning. We're telling you now. You're welcome.

I think it's polite to let the women know if you're not a member of this board, especially if you're coming from a BMB. I'm not sure what was wrong with what @everycol0r requested?
The women answering questions in this thread have obviously had babies; or am I missing the point of the "post partum preparedness" thread? What exactly requires a ticker/trigger warning here?

"Ticker warning, I've had 3 children and I'm deigning to answer questions! So sorry if this might trigger someone!"

Is this warning also required on the Babies on the Brain board, or Baby Names, or 1st Tri?
Are you only requesting ticker warnings for people currently pregnant? What about all the tickers for children already born? How dare these women post here without warnings about the children in their ticker!

If anything, the women posting here that are currently pregnant with their 1st children are the ones who should be most concerned with the answers in this thread.
