I miscarried a few days ago. It's been a very tough and traumatic week, as i'm sure many of you can understand. Today a nurse from my doctor's office called me to check in, as well as inform me that I tested positive for Rubella. I'm rather confused as I was vaccinated twice as a child, and never had any signs or symptoms that I have this. Obviously, this is frustrating because it's a two edged sword. Everything I know about it says that Rubella is very dangerous for the baby and typically leads to stillborn, or major birth defects if you have it at the time of getting pregnant or before 8 weeks. On the other side, although extremely rare to have as an adult, it is likely to cause miscarriage if you have it while pregnant. If I would have known before my pregnancy, I maybe could have prevented this. Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: Miscarriage Caused by Rubella
Are you sure the nurse wasn't saying you were positive for Rubella antibodies which means you are immune and your body is able to fight it off on its own?
