1st trimester screening...

I'll be 11 weeks next week and I have a 1st trimester screening appointment. I was curious if any of you ladies have had anything of the sort done before?!

Typically that's the NT scan and some blood work. They both check for genetic disorders like downs or Edwards syndromes. You'll get some blood work done and they'll do an ultrasound where they will measure the space in the clear tissue on the back of the baby's neck. Some people decline this test and some OBs do it as part of the regular check up and process. Nothing painful or uncomfortable. Good luck.
