SCH and worried :(

I'm hoping for some inspiration. I'm 6 weeks today and this morning I had some blood when I used the bathroom. I had my first ultrasound scheduled for today anyway so in we went. My RE found a SCH, he didn't even want to call it that until I asked him if that's what it was, which he confirmed but said it's very small. He said it's common and quite frankly didn't seem too concerned, said that I might have more bleeding because of it. Now I'm wishing I asked more questions, obviously I've been googling but I would love some real experiences and support. Has this happened to anyone here? Is there a difference if it's early on or not?

Re: SCH and worried :(

  • I had a small SCH during my last pregnancy. It cleared up on its own and caused no problems.
The spotting can be worrisome but atleast you know the cause of it.
Some drs have their patients take it easy or do limited lifting but I'm assuming that's if they are larger. I had no limitations.
    Fx it clears up quickly.

  • With my first pregnancy, I had a small SCH that cleared up on its own too. It's possible they'll have you come in for more ultrasounds so they can keep an eye on it. I had an u/s at 8, 12, 16, and 20 weeks.
  • I had a sch with my first pregnancy that caused some bleeding but no other complications. The bleeding didn't last long and my midwife was not concerned. Good luck!
  • Thank you all so much! I feel like I've been pessimistic all day. This really helps
