Mother's Day

This is my first pregnancy and with mother's day approaching I have people saying "aww what a great mother's day gift!" Well, idk what to say or how I feel about that. I'm not a mother yet. Just wondering if any ladies have had people say that or what's your opinion on it?

Ive had people tell me the same i found out i was pregnant right before too isnt it so nice congrats btw

I haven't told anyone.  But my husband got me a big t-shirt that says "Fitz Inside" (our last name is Fitzgerald) and there is a shamrock where the bump will be when I have one.

He's really the best.

That is so cute!! My DH has a shirt that says Team Perry (Our last name) Lifetime Member that he was super excited about getting. So when I got a BFP I made a black onesie with white iron on letters that says Team Perry and gave it to him. He didn't get it at first LOL

I got a Mother's Day card in the mail today from my MIL that was for "Mommy-to-Be"...personally I'm okay with being acknowledged as a Mommy-to-Be.

I totally think it still counts! You have this little human inside you that's trying to form and totally dependent on you. However, I can understand if it feels weird with people commenting if its so new. I'd say just politely say thank you and change the subject if you don't want to dote on it.
As for me, we were just at the store buying flowers for our moms and my hubby picked up two bouquets and I didn't even catch it until I spotted him by the wife card section. It took everything not to break down and cry right there. Maybe it's the hormones, but I was truly touched.

While I was at the lab getting my blood drawn today DH took ds to the store and got me a card.
