Working out at home?

pre-pregnancy, I was doing my best to get in shape and workout at home 5-6 days a week (usually jillian michaels). I was so tired in my first trimester that I completely fell off the wagon. Now that I'm starting to have more energy, I'm thinking I should really start doing that whole "30 minutes a day" thing that my doctor and everyone else recommends. I have 3 prenatal videos (body by trimester, 10 minute solutions Pilates, and vinyasa yoga short forms), but I'm curious if anyone has found anything else that you absolutely love.

  • I recommend:

She's been doing this for over a decade, has a child of her own, and balances the nutrition support with excellent workouts that are never boring. She offers a wide variety of options that target each part of your body, and she explains how and why we do certain movements.

  • I love zumba. There is an instructor on youtube who is awesome, her name is Lauren Fitz, or I think her channel is Club Fitz. She uses mostly newer songs or hip hop, not latin music. I make playlists and hook the ipad to my tv. To be honest though, I have not done any since becoming pregnant. She is actually a full-time physician (an anesthesiologist); I would check out her facebook page and ask her which routines she recommends for pregnancy, if you are interested.
  • I love zumba too. I do some kettlebell stuff after and squats. We have a pool at our apartment and its not deep so i walk laps in it too. I'm hoping all my hinting paid off and I'm getting a fit bit for mothers day. I figure as long as I'm moving enough getting back to it post baby will be easier.
  • Vinyasa Yoga and Pilates for me. I have the "10 Minute Solutions Pilates" DVD...love it. I just dial up the reps and speed to make it more challenging for me. I want to try "Knocked Up Fitness" but wasn't sure if the DVDs were any good. Glad @sunshine9382 shared her comments on them! Thx :)
