Update: Pregnancy after Infertility and uterine cancer

THIS WAS MY ORIGINAL POST FROM LAST YEAR:

Hey everyone, I am new to the bump and just wanted to put my story out
there, because I haven't found any discussions any where I have looked.
My name is Tina and here is my story.  My husband and I have been
together for 14 1/2 years and married for 10 1/2 years and we have been
TTC for at least 8 years, but not until December 2011 did we see a GYN
to see what the problem was.  I was diagnosed with PCOS so my doctor put
me on Metoformin and my menstruation started to be regular and after 6
months she started me on Chlomid for 6 months with no success.  January
31, 2013 we went to a fertility specialist and February 18 I had an HSG
test that checks for blockages in the fallopian tubes.  The testing came
back that they were clear, but there was a fibroid in my uterus. I was
scheduled for removal on February 25 and before I left the Hospital that
day I scheduled a FU with my doctor for March 13, but on February 26
the doctor's office called and said they wanted to see me sooner, so I
was scheduled for March 5.  On March 5, 2013 I was diagnosed with Stage 1
Uterine cancer.  I thought my chances of having a baby were gone, but
my doctor insured me that there was still a chance.  I was scheduled
with the GYN Oncologist on March 26, 2013. During the wait between
appointments, as any one that has had infertility issues knows that
it's not just you that goes through the infertility, that your
spouse/significant other and the rest of your family does too. I have 2
sisters one younger and one older.  From the start of my diagnosis of
Cancer they both offered to be surrogates if it came to that. I also had three friends offer to be a surrogates. My options from the the oncologist
were to do oral medication for 3 months and then a D&C or a
hysterectomy.  I chose the medication, which was Megace and scheduled a
D&C for July 3, 2013.  I had the D&C and it came back there were
still cancer cells so they doubled my Megace. I then I had another
D&C on October 25, 2013.  On October 30, my oncologist called and
told me she couldn't wait for my FU visit with her to give me the best
news ever, that I was CANCER FREE!!!!  At my FU visit with her she gave
me the go ahead to go back the the fertility specialist.  So on December
4, 2013 we went back and we started oral fertility treatments.  We had
our first IUI (intrauterine insemination or artificial insemination) on
December 24, 2013.  This was the 1st cycle and it didn't take.  So with
the next cycle I started injectable medications and had IUI on February
8, 2014.  This cycle it took, but it was a biochemical pregnancy (early
miscarriage).  The doctor said we needed only to wait for my next cycle
to start, which was March 15, 2014 and on April 14, 2014 I got the news
that I was pregnant and to confirm the HCG numbers were doubling I had
more blood tests on April 16 and they more then doubled.  As of today
April 22, 2014 I am 5w2d and my EDD is 12/21/14, which was confirmed on
an ultrasound and more blood work. Now the only question left is how
many am I carrying.  The moral to my story is that NEVER ever give up.  I
have faced so many obstacles and have over come all of them.  I will
keep everyone up to date with my progress!! Thank you for reading and if
you have any questions for me, please don't hesitate to ask me.

NOW FOR THE UPDATE:

So it has been over a year now that I found out I was pregnant.  We kept the gender a surprise until birth.  Brooke Sage was born December 16, 2014 at 5:15 via C-section.  She spent 5 hours in the NICU, because I had gestational diabetes.  She weighed 7 lbs 13 oz and was 20 inches long.  She had a full head of black hair, which now is lighter and has a red look to it.  She is Mommy and Daddy's Miracle.  I feel like she saved my life in so many ways.  I included a picture from the day we brought her home, one from Easter, and one of her at 4 months old.
