Umbrella stroller

I'm looking to spend less than 50 on a lightweight/umbrella stroller.... Doesn't need to be super fancy as we will just be using it for quick errands, etc.

Any recommendations?

I got the most basic babies r us brand one 4 years ago before ds was born. I've used it for ds, a girl I babysat for 6 months, and now dd. It hasn't broken yet! My only complaint is it's handles are a little low, but it doesn't bother me too much. I'm 5' 7". I think it was $20

  • We got ours on vacation for $16 at KMart. It's not perfect, but it has lasted 3 years and counting. Plus, it's easy to transport and very light.

I have the BRU one too! I'm 5'4" and I find the handles a little short too. But he the thing is so lightweight and small when folded up, in use it all the time! It lives in my car.
  • For something a little heftier than the bru umbrella strollers, I really like my chicco lite way. That one also converts to hold an infant seat, but if you didn't need that feature, I think they have just a regular umbrella stroller too. The handles are a reasonable height for me (5' 7") but short for DH (6'4").
  • I know you said 50 BUT Burlington has some Joovy lightweight strollers for $80. They recline and have a big umbrella.
