Anyone else had a total-thyroidectomy?

Just wondering if anyone else has had their thyroid removed and wondering how you're going?

I didn't have mine surgically removed but I did have mine radioactively iblated (killed) and have nothing left of it. Mine was killed this way due to Graves Disease, not because of nodules.

I'm doing good, I am on synthroid and cytomel and am hoping to switch to armour after baby is here. My levels are perfect but I do have some symptoms that they medicine combo isn't helping with (libido, weight, cold joints).

I had more than half of mine removed. I have been without meds until I was 6-7 mos with my last baby. I used meds for a short time and came back off. They are watching my levels this time as well.

That's awesome. I had mine completely removed due to multi nodular Graves' disease. Saw my endocrinologist today and he is really happy with my levels from prior to conception to now so I'm really pleased.
