Pregnant after a Loss

22.5 weeks, not even a flutter

So The Bump video tells me I should feel him moving as well as all the sites, but I'm sitting here at 22.5 weeks and haven't felt my baby kick at all. No rolls, no flutters, nothing. How concerned should I be? My next appt isn't even until the 14th of May. I keep flashing back to my losses and it scares me.

Re: 22.5 weeks, not even a flutter

  • Sorry you aren't feeling anything, but it's most likely your baby is just positioned in a way that your not feeling it. For me I was 21 weeks but even then it was faint and not so regular. I was 24 weeks when it was more regular but because of the position still not very strong. Then our LO finally rolled and by 26 weeks it was consistant and very noticable!

  • With my oldest I felt movement as early as 12 weeks and with my second, I didn't feel a single thing until I was 26+4. It was agonizing. Express your concerns to your doctor. He may do a NST.

Try not to worry too much! I'm 24 weeks and I'm only just feeling my little one let me know he's here!

If you're worried, than ask your doctor to work you in. I went in once when my doctor wasn't there and the nurse checked on the baby. Do you know if you have an anterior placenta? I hear women with those feel it much, much later. I felt "popcorn popping" before anything that I could identify as the baby moving and it was much, much lower than I expected. Like, at and below my panty line. I also only really feel it, even now, when I laid flat on my back and it's still not every day. I'm sure the baby's fine, but I really wouldn't be embarrassed to go in and see for yourself over worrying yourself sick. Doctors should understand after a loss. ❤
