Ok so I'm super sensitive right now but we have to see a different doc in the practice each time .. My first official visit with a doc was a nice woman at least I thought so at first... We started talking about the blood test offered to older moms and I said if nothing runs in my side or husbands side if the family should we worry.. She said "that's not what the blood test is for" I said oh ok what is it for? She said "let's be honest old eggs spoil" this left me hurt and thinking if the test showed abnormalities it would be my fault. It made me stressed for weeks. Fortunately everything was fine.
Yesterday I went to the docs because I have had bluebell ice cream and was kinda panicked. The nurse was sarcastic about taking my weight and made some remark and then the nurse practitioner who saw me said we you shouldn't even be eating ice cream. It has no nutritional value and that's not what your baby needs.
Seriously???? Come on people. Rudeness!! What would you do??

My insurance isn't accepted at the doctor/hospital in my town.... Which is actually a relief because I have heard bad things about it (and have had some bad experiences myself). Its worth it to drive some place I trust and feel safe and comfortable.
I wouldn't put up with being treated that way...there are wonderful doctors and nurses out there to be found!
Maybe be honest and say that, something like it might just be my hormones but the things you say are offensive and cause me anxiety. I'd really like to have a positive experience, can you help me with that?
Sweet words often go a long way, even though they definitely don't deserve them. I think going about it this way will help you have a more pleasant experience.
