opk negative but sore bbs & other symptoms- possibly ovulated?

I usually get a very clear indication of ovulation.  My lh surge always shows up on opk and around the same time as I feel ovulation pain.  Then a couple of days later I get sore bbs.

Well, this month I started testing at 12 cd and never got a positive opk (the line was there each day, just not as dark as the control line).  The weird thing is that I started feeling sore bbs on Sunday and they have been sore ever since exactly the way they are after ovulation.  I also felt pressure on Friday (which was 12 cd) when we BDed (sorry, tmi) the way I usually feel before ovulation.  And I have been dry (cm) since then.  So everything feels like I have ovulated.  But I've never not gotten a positive opk before.  So I'm thinking I either ovulated earlier than usual (maybe around 11cd) or somehow opk just didn't work (I used Answer strips, and I did have them for more than a month, so don't know if it matters).  Or I didn't ovulate this month, but then is it possible for my bbs to be sore anyway?

Anyone has any ideas or experienced anything like this?

i don't have any real insight...   without charting temperatures or monitoring, its hard (if not impossible) to confirm that ovulation happened.   it sounds like from your symptoms you may have just missed your LH surge with the OPKs, but its hard to know for certain.
