Am I Pregnant?

We have been trying for 3 months to conceive our second child. I am now 2 days late on my period, feeling nauseous at times, peeing more than usual, and my face is full of zits everywhere... however, I took an at home pregnancy test and there was a VERY faint 2nd line. So I tested again this morning and got the same result. Am I pregnant? Do I need to get a different type of test? Or when could I test again for it to come up darker?

Wait two days and try to test again. Any line at all means you're pregnant. But blue dye can often give false positives. Get pink dye or a digital and try again. Best of luck!

Try afternoon urine. I always showed up darker in the evening. I held it for like 3 hours... not easy, and took a test!

Get the test that says "yes" or "no" that way it's very accurate. But they say even a faint line is a yes! I was only a day late when mine showed "yes!" Good luck

My first test was fairly light too so I went and bought a Clear Blue test. It's more expensive but it says very clearly 'pregnant' and gives you an estimate of weeks. It was worth the $7 to see the word spelled out (especially because this was quite the surprise for me)!!!

Weird, you should get best results with first morning urine (FMU), it's less diluted since you drink throughout the day. Good luck!

this was my very first BFP and you can barley see a line

I had the same questionable results ... I agree with @lovinlifeinutah get the clear blue easy digital... It gave us a pregnant when the lines were faint. They will get darker as your hcg increases. I was worried and retested this week and got by dark lines in a cheapy test.

Like all PP have said, try a digital.  It will take out all the guess work.

Since Ive never used one where the result window says, "yes" - if you are not pregnant does it say "no?" I feel like I need to go purchase one of these tonight! What brand is better? I usually buy the First Response ones where it has pink lines. Thanks for all of your help ladies!!

If you are a caffeen drinker then afternoon, or after your morning fix will also give you very concentrated urine, allowing the line to become darker.

I was over a week late, and still had very faint lines. The visibility of the line can come from hydration levels, or the amount of HCG. Either way, a line is a line. CONGRATS!

@CARDS10  Not always. I drink and pee all night. Mine always came out light in the morning. A few ppl told me to test in the evening instead. I did and got good results!

My regular test was pretty dang clear, and I still ran out and bought the digital "pregnant/not pregnant" test just because the word is what I needed to believe it!

The same thing happened to me.. the line was almost microscopic so I almost let it go and figured I was just irregular but I Googled it online to see if it happened to anyone else and it did. They said they took the clear blue digital one when that happened . So that's what I did! It worked. I was in fact pregnant. It was just very early on and the line tests can show up very very light if there isn't much of the hcg hormone present. But the clear blue just plainly states pregnant or not instead of guessing so I recommend doing that
