Every waking second of the day sickness

Hi All! Had anyone else been experiencing "morning sickness"? Mine started about a week ago somewhat mild....but the past four days have been complete hell. I now have a lifetime supply of preggie pops, preggie chews, wellness tea, saltines, graham crackers, and I'm wearing sea bands. Yep. A hot mess. Any suggestions? I'm panicked because I don't know how I'm going to make it through work like this.
Please help!

  • I have been feeling pretty gross every day when I get out of bed. I found a ginger candy at a local whole foods market. It is spicy as far as ginger goes, but it helps. I suck on one with a lot of water. Ginger ale helps a little bit. I try to snack on something before I get out of bed but that is hit and miss. Hope you feel better soon.
  • I would try B12 vitamin and Unisom that's what I use I had a hypermesis which is like morning sickness on crack. Also you can buy this drink at a local health food store it's called natural calm it was a lifesaver
  • Thank you all so much for the well wishes and ideas. I really appreciate it!!!
  • Everything I have read says you need more protein. One book even suggests eating a snack before bead with protein and complex carbs. I had several days of quesiness but upped the protein and haven't been sick.

  • I am experiencing the same thing...currently in bed with a bucket rather than at work :( I spoke with the pharmacist yesterday and he said that if it gets unbearable there are pregnancy safe anti nausea medicines that can be prescribed by my GP..I have an appointment today to investigate further! Just want to make sure there are definitely no risks involved!

As someone who just left work to come home sick, I feel your pain! My nurse suggested B6 and unisom (1/2 tab of each am and pm), but I keep throwing it up, so it's not helping. I've tried the preggi pops, saltines, ginger ale, ginger candy, and nothing is working. Toast with a bit of butter seems to be staying down for the moment. My biggest issue is I'm a teacher, and I don't want to tell my students yet, but I'm sure they'll be speculating. I literally ran out of my room and yelled to a fellow teacher (who knows) that I was running to the bathroom. I would have stayed, but unfortunately the force of the heaving also caused a bit of an accident (tmi), and I didn't have any spare pants. :( nothing like having to face 8th graders when you're all pukey :(

Omg @jenblanca I'm a teacher too and had to stay home today! I know I can't do this everyday but today was so bad! I haven't told anyone from work yet so I'm not sure what they think about me being so tired and feeling sick all the time lol
  • It's starting to kick in for me now. This is my second pregnancy and it was like that (on and off the whole time) the last one. I found constantly snacking rather than eating meals was very helpful. I was student teaching a grade 3 class and couldn't leave so I always had something like a V8 or crackers right beside me.
  • Not to be a Debbie downer but I was sick up until I gave birth. Only relief is saltines and gingerale. Stay away from veggies that are hard to digest
  • That would be so great! I teach 9th grade science and because of lab equipment, chemicals, and an annoying squirrel I have a no food policy. If my students can't have food,
  • I feel so bad for those of you that are teachers! I at least have the luxury to get up and run to the bathroom if I need to.....the worst thing that could happen is I may be right in the middle of a meeting. I went to the Dr today. He gave me a sample of a prescription they have for nausea. It's basically B6 and an antihistamine mixed together. I start taking it tonight. I called out of work on Friday and left early Monday. This has NOT been easy. Lol. The nurse and Dr seemed to be pleased thay I dont feel well. I think its a good sign so HANG IN THERE!!! Don't get me wrong though....I'm am thankful to feel this way. We've been TTC for 5 years now and went for a consultation for IVF. Little did I know- I was already pregnant! I had my first ultrasound today...this is my second pregnancy and I miscarried with the first so they're being extra caution....I heard the baby's heartbeat. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.
  • I just came home today super sick from school. I almost threw up in front of my students- the fire alarm is the only thing that saved me!! I called my OB and got a prescription for an anti nausea med. What are preggi pops and preggi chews?? Where do you buy them?!!
