December 2015 Moms

Sudden, constant, extreme nausea.

To the point where I almost wish I would throw up and be done with it.

I have a strong stomach. Extremely strong. I don't handle vomiting well at all.. I cry and cry and hate it more than I can put in words.

Ginger ale, ginger tea, fresh air, water.. how else can I make this STOP?!

Re: Sudden, constant, extreme nausea.

  • Try some crackers with all of the other stuff you mentioned. Get a cool wet wash cloth and lay it on your forehead. And lay down in a dark room. That's what I do. Makes me loads better!

  • I've been sucking on ginger mints & chewing on ginger candy. It's the only thing that's helped me so far.

  • I've had the exact same thing for a week now - no vomiting, just extreme nausea that starts around 4am and doesn't loose steam until around 6pm.
Here is what has helped me (it doesn't take the nausea away, just helps to make it less extreme): Eat small meals/snacks every 2-3 hours (whatever you can stomach), keep saltine crackers in your bedside drawer, keep food and liquids separate (don't eat crackers and drink a bottle of water at the same time..allow your crackers to settle for a bit before you drink), 25mg of vitamin B6 3x/day and don't go to bed hungry!
Foods that have worked for me: white toast, plain popcorn, apples/applesauce, veggie soup, cottage cheese, yogurt, jello, saltines, hard boiled eggs, vanilla frozen yogurt.
Good luck, and if it doesn't improve and you're losing weight call your doctor!
