Hello Mommies. I'm new. June 27th is our due date, with a little boy. =D> We have run into a complication, and have since been labeled high risk. I was tested twice for parrovirus b16, fifths disease, slap face, whatever you want to call it. It's a virus that can be very scary for our little man.. we have been referred to a perinatal specialist, who's a high risk doc as well. Anyone know what to expect here? What to expect from a perinatal doctor as well as any experience with this virus? Thanks in advance, feeling seven types of anxious. ~X(
No personal experience technically, but DHs little cousins had it recently (they just turned 6) and while I wasn't directly exposed to them, I was around several family members who were. I panicked and of course it was on the weekend when I couldn't call my doctor, but I did find lots of good information on the CDC website
