After 24 hours of labor and an emergency c section later I finally got to meet Miss Madalynn Ann! She weighed in at 8 pounds and 2 oz and was 20.5 inches long! Original due date was May 31st but she wanted to stay and cook a lil longer so her arrival was June 4th at 6:56pm! Couldent be any more blessed!
Colton was born May 22 at 4:48PM via emergency c section. He weighed 6lbs 15oz and was 20" long.
I was in labour for 13 hours. My contractions at home came on so quickly and were 10 min apart - by the time we got to the hospital they were 2 min apart. I was all natural until they gave me oxytocin to progress me past 6cm - within 15 min baby's heart rate dropped from 140 to 40 and I was in the OR for a c section. It was very traumatizing but I'm glad baby is healthy and safe.
I'm pretty late posting but oh well Our little lady Avery arrived May 21st at 38 weeks 6 days.
I had been having contractions that were very scattered for two days, and was 3 cms dilated at my doctors appointment on the 20th. The week before I had been at 1.5 cms, baby's head was low and my cervix was soft and she had done a sweep both times. My doctor decided because of all the false labour discomfort, the fact that we live so far from the hospital with three other kids at home, my history of complicated deliveries, and my husbands work situation that it would be best if she induced me the next morning. So we came into the hospital and I had dilated to 4 cms over night. They broke my water at 10 30 , and the contractions picked up in intensity but were still scattered...some were 5 mins apart some were 10. I walked and walked and this went on all day. Because I was VBA2C they could not give me pitocin or anything to speed things up. I started to be in a lot more pain around supper time so she checked my cervix and after labouring all day I was still only at four cms. At that point I was starting to get discouraged and tired and worried I would be facing a section as it was progressing much slower than my previous labour. Even though we had agreed on me getting the epi early for two reasons ( 1. To slow the baby's descent as I had some major issues with tearing last time 2. In case there were complications I already had the epi) I decided to hold off on it because I didn't want to slow things down anymore. I opted for the fentanyl instead- amazing. Calmed me down a lot and helped me focus on getting through the contractions better.Contractions started picking up at like 6pm and were right on top of each other, by the time I asked for the epi and the anesthesiologist arrived, he had no sooner gotten it placed and at 7 pm I started feeling pressure , so the nurse checked and I was fully dilated . 4-10 in an hour! The epi also had a patch on my right side that completely didn't work, but my left side was good and frozen... Lol Avery was delivered at 725 pm, and all was well! I had two small first degree tears which was amazing considering last time I had fourth degree tears all inside and needed a three hour surgery to repair, haemorrhaged and needed a blood transfusion. So I was feeling pretty good this time and pretty proud to have had my second successful VBA2C! :-)
Cameron Douglas, born May 31st 2015, 5lbs9oz!! This is my first born and it's been such a blessing. I had an amazing pregnancy and delivery. I went to my OBGYN for a routine check up (40wks). To my suprise the sonogram tech noticed my fluid was low. My OBGYN sent me straight to the hospital. After triaged the hospital decided to keep me to monitor me. I was taken off food and given ice chips and water (NOT FUN). The next morning my OBGYN decided to break my water and start me on Pictocin (The devil). I was only 1cm dilated. After being in pain for 3-4 hours my OBGYN checked me and still no progress, she also noticed my LO was distressed so she decided to do a c-section. I initially wanted to push to avoid the scar but due to the excruciating pain and my LO's vitals I did what was necessary. NOTHING ABOUT A C-SECTION IS PAINFUL!!!!! I PROMISE!!!! The hardest part about a c-section is the recovery. I have an amazing support system. My boyfriend and I are proud parents!
Last week, when I was at 41+6, my Dr. decided that induction was necessary. I started on cervidil overnight, and in the morning--nothing. Only a fingertip dilated (where I had been for weeks). So, I went through another round of cervidil, and that night--nothing. Well, nothing but the most painful internal exam of my life. The cervidil made me impossibly raw. Then they put me on pitocin overnight, and in the morning--a fingertip dilated. So they put me on another round until 10pm of that night and then when nothing was happening, I was allowed to go to sleep to regroup in the morning. Finally I got two back to back rounds of cytotec, which did throw me into active labor, but by 11pm Friday night I was still only a fingertip dilated. In addition, my water had broken only to show that there was, in fact, meconium in the fluid. After 8 hours, I couldn't take it anymore and opted for a c-section. At 12:30am on 6/13 (42+2 weeks), Wolfgang Isaac was born, and seemingly my heart left my body and landed soundly in his tiny gentle hands. Just a look from him washes away every pain, frustration and mood swing of the last 9 1/2 months. "Did my heart love till now?" I can safely say, it did not. :'-)
Our baby girl Delna decided to come in the world on her mommy's birthday on May 24th at 10:23 pm weighting in 8lbs 6.9 oz and 20.75 in. I was 39w4d. It was my birthday, decided to go to church for the 11 Am service. I was doing good all morning. As soon as we got to church (we were late) my 5year old wanted to run to his sunday school class. Then the contractions started which I have been feeling for the last 4weeks. After the service( noon) , my son usually play on the grass with his friends for like 10-15min. But i tod him you are not playing today because mommy's stomach hurts. The contractions were all over the place every 10-20 min, we went home, drank my pineapple juice, lay down, they became stronger but still not consistant. I started to time them at 1:30p and they were every 8-after 15min. I started loosing my MP. Took a nap for 20mim woke up with a menstrual like cramp but stronger which lasted 2min. I was not sure if this was true labor or not. DS was induced. At 5pm, DH called to ask if I could drive to go pick him up after work ( we only have one car). I went to pick him up and we got home at 7p. By 8:15 pm contractions became every 4-6min apart. At 8:30p, i decided to go to the hospital. We dropped ds at SIL 's house. By the time we got to the hospital contractions were every 2 min at 9:10pm. We checked in, were sent to triage. The triage nurse asked if i knew if i was dialating. At my last doc visit, i was 4cm and 50%effaced and induction was scheduled for Tuesday 5/26 at 7:30Am. She told me i am sure you are more than 4cm dialated. She checked me and said " oh, you are 9cm!" I was like what??you're kidding, she said no, this baby is coming now.they broke my water rigth away as soon as they put me in the delivery room It went really fast, after 10min of pushing, my sweet baby girl was born.
Hunter Rebecca Elisabeth, I was due the 30th, set to be induced on the 25th (due to my age), and finished teaching the 21st of May. At 1am on the 22nd she took matters into her own feet and broke my amniotic sack. No contractions, so I chose induction when I went into the hospital later that morning since it was going to happen that way anyway. Induction definitely stinks (though I have nothing to compare it to), so I gave in and got an epidural after 8 hours and no more dilation. After a nap, things had moved along, so I was ready to push and 11 minutes later she arrived, perfect as can be.
Oliver Cinder Blyth was born on Wednesday 13th May at 7:26pm. He was 4 days early (born at 39+3 days) at a healthy weight of 6pd 8oz (2.97kg). It was love at first sight and I was absolutely amazed at how quickly he arrived and at what my body had just done in under 3 hours
My baby Sofia Lily was 3 days early and born on 15th May 2015 weighing 10lb 5oz. 19 hours of labour resulting in emergency c-section! My waters broke slowly from midnight, got to the hospital about 10.30am and found out I was 4cm dilated. I had maconium in the waters and baby was back to back so I wasn't allowed the water birth I had originally wanted. The contractions were so close together and the pain in my back was like nothing I've ever experienced so I opted for pain relief. Started with gas & air and diamorphine but that didn't work so decided to have an epidural. Although it didn't really take effect. I could still feel the contractions in my back, they were milder but could still feel them. They had to keep topping up epidural as I was still using gas & air with every contraction. Just as I got to 6cm the epidural seem to kick in( well that's what I thought but my contractions stopped) they put me on a drip to speed things up and boy did it!!! By 20:00pm I was 8cm, but then they struggled to find babies heart rate as she kept wriggling off the Monitor and wouldn't keep clip on her head. They had to do an examination where they collected blood from the babies head to check oxygen levels. They took to get tested and came back very low, then babies heart rate went up to 225. Lots of doctors and midwives rushed in at 22.30 and said I had to go for an emergency c-section and baby Sofia was delivered at 22.39! They don't earn you about the shakes and I was being sick which was really unpleasant. I lost 1.5 litres of blood so had to have a blood transfusion. And Sofia had an infection so had to be taken to neonatal. All the staff were amazing though. We made it home on the 18th which was my due date! Our little treasure was worth every minute of pain and we love her to the moon and back
Ladies, I haven't been on in 6 months! To be honest, I wanted to pretend her early arrival hadn't happened.
Baby C came at an even 32 weeks, March 9, 2015, weighing in at 2lb 12oz, via c-section due to pre-e. She spent 30 days in the hospital before coming home. We are both now happy and healthy, and right now seems to have very few repercussions of her prematurity.
My little angel came a week early due to some complications. We were admitted during my check-up. Jaiden Marie was born May 12th at 5:58pm. She was 5lb 9oz. After being induced I only dilated to 2 after hours of labor. We had an unplanned c-section. After weeks of regret I'm now glad we did it this way! Love my babygirl. :x
