i believe it's trapped gas pains but they're SO severe. I cant stand or walk, i just want to lay on my stomach and cry. Feels like knives being stabbed into my stomach
I had something similar a few weeks ago and for me, it was severe constipation. I started taking Miralax and fiber pills (18grams worth) daily and eventually I got relief. I hope this helps!!
I'm sorry you're in so much pain. When I have those pains I try to elevate my legs so if there is trapped gas it comes out. TMI I know lol but it really works! Gas is lighter than gravity though so it makes sense if you think about it! Also try to sip something carbonated to let it out that way too. These methods have proven very effective for me. Good luck!
Mine aren't constant (knock on wood) but I find that moving slowly and staying hydrated help reduce the frequency and severity of them. I hope yours ease up soon!
I was in the same boat! Antacids, pepto, gasx- nothing helped. I actually read to avoid carbonated and fried foods. I was only drinking carbonated juices so I stopped. I changed that and it helped. It was ongoing for about 4-5 days before.
Other recommendations was to drink warm water or a lite tea. I guess the temp is supposed to react with the gas to help (has lots of positive comments). I'll be trying that if it comes back.
This happened to me a month ago and it turns out it was constipation. It was awful! Though I was having bowel movements, they were small movements and the buildup of stool over time caused the pain. Colace daily, fiber rich diet, exercise daily, lots of carbonated water, strict non greasy diet all helped .
I had something very similar. It woke me up in the middle of the night and the pain was terrifying. Figuring it might just be gas, I sat sort of in child's pose, but with my rear end a little more elevated than normal, and just hoped that gravity would take effect. It took a while, but eventually I let the most massive one rip and I felt instantaneously better. If it's not gas it could also be constipation. It only lasted about an hour for me, so maybe not as extreme as what you're experiencing. Try fiber, avoiding certain foods, etc. to keep you regular and if it doesn't go away definitely talk to you doctor about medicinal options.
