I've been wanting to get another tattoo in memory of my mom beating breast cancer twice (and I still do), but I also told my husband that I wanted to get one for our child too. He was thinking about getting our child's name or initials tattooed on him as well. It's a win win :)

Someone got a gun to celebrate the birth of a baby?! Yay America.

Yes it is his gift. It is to add to his gun collection. He could collect other things like cars, or Star Wars things but his passion is guns. He works his ass for us an if that's what he wants to buy with his perfect attendance bonus then why not. He has been through two very difficult pregnancies with me so if he wants a reward for dealing with it then yes he deserves one too.

  • For my husband and I the gift is the baby, idk why people always make things materialistic, but that's just us. I didn't get a gift when I had my daughter and won't expect anything once the new baby comes, they're all I want on that special day.
  • We deserve the push present, after all it's us who's going to be doing all the pushing haha
  • It's not a new thing. My mum got gifts with each of us and I'm 39...

But a gun!! As a gift!! To celebrate a baby!!!!

    I have no words.

  • My husband said I only get a push present if the baby is a boy and will carry on the family name.

...I'm joking. Lol. Our baby is a gift and our miracle but we're not "giving" it to each other. :)

  • My hubby bought me a new car (SUV), so I can tote all 3 kids more comfortably. I'm sold!
  • We don't do push presents either. I did ask for a piece of meaningful jewlery for Mother's Day.
  • I introduced the idea of a push present to my husband this morning while watching an apple watch commercial. He seemed game but threw in a loophole, what if its cesarean! No present for you then he said. I had no come back. A push is a push.

I don't see anything wrong with this. My hubby loves guns and he would be beyond thrilled if I got him one as a gift. It's in his line of work plus he hunts etc it's NBD

It's major surgery! Totally deserves a gift, plus the recovery is so much harder. And you still carried a child for 9-10 months :)

It's like celebrating the birth of a baby by buying a pet alligator!

The only thing I want my husband to get me immediately after giving birth is a Subway deli sandwich, conveniently located right outside the hospital! Yummmm.

This cracks me up because that is the one and only thing I wanted after having my daughter, too! And of course hubby was more than willing to go get one for me cause that meant he could get one, too, and didn't have to eat hospital food..lol :)
