XP from SAIF, Things to do after transfer...

Hi Ladies!

I'm an active member over on 2IF and hope it's ok for me to post my question here.  It's been a long journey to get to my FET and it's 2 weeks away (if all goes well).  I wanted to hear if any of you tried any of the "old wives tales" of eating pineapple core, wearing socks to bed each night after transfer...I'm willing to try anything that might bring success

I did eat pineapple, but I also love pineapple  My RE did a really long bed rest - I think it was 3 days after ET, whereas most other REs only do one day.  So I chilled at home, watched a lot of TV, and slept.

I ate pineapple core starting 2 days before transfer and ate it for 5 days. I didn't eat or drink anything cold or with ice for a couple months after transfer. I had the transfer on Friday morning and put myself on couch rest until Monday. I wore socks or slippers at all times for a few weeks. No nail polish. I tried it all

I've had five transfer and my successful cycle was the one I didn't actually try anything, I wasn't even put on bed rest.  I just took it easy.  GL!!

I ate warm foods like soup and watched funny movies on the couch. I also ate pineapple but I really like pineapple.

I really didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I went home after the transfer and wrapped presents and just kind of rested. I definitely didn't do any bed rest, because my RE didn't recommend it. I just tried to stay relaxed and not get stressed physically or mentally.

I feel like I ride it all. Pineapple core, resting, acupuncture, etc etc. Unfortunately, nothing worked for me but I really hope it goes smoothly for you! Rest and take care of yourself.

I didn't! I went on a 20 bumpy minute car ride to a brunch after. But Then I was a couch potato for about 6 days, my mom came to cook for us. I binge watched tv. I walked upstairs a few times. I actually slipped and fell about 4 days after and that made me nervous but my dr wasn't concerned. We made it!!!

I did acupuncture before and after transfer.  Both the same day.

I had no bed rest did everything normal except no caffeine and no soda and that worked for me.

They made me rest at the clinic for a half hour after my FET, then I hopped in my truck and drove the 6 hours home. I'm pretty sure that once I got home, I took my horse out and went for a ride (only at a walk). So in my experience, it seems like that little bean makes its own decision on whether it wants to stick around. About 6dp6dt, I started feeling AF-like cramps. Since my period was due the next day, I assumed the worst. That night I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and went to my hockey game (since AF was coming the next day). But AF didn't come. 13dp6dt, the clinic called to say I'm due in the fall. 

So I'm not sure if my response was helpful at all, but I do hope you get your bfp. Good luck!!!!

They had me lie down and only whisper for the first 1/2 hour while still in the clinic. They gave me a Valium, which made me really chill. Our first round did not work, so I tried to take it more easy the second time, and I'm now 11.5 weeks pregnant from that secind ivf round I do think it probably had more to do with the quality of the egg that took, rather than my behavior after the et, but who knows. I did not do acupuncture, only because I don't like it & I wanted to be a relaxed and happy as possible. I did couch rest, not bed rest, for 3 days. I've read new studies saying that full bed rest can restrict your normal blood flow, which is actually detrimental. So, I just relaxed, watched movies, got up when I needed to, cooked, etc, just as gently as possible. Best of luck!

I didn't do anything except take the day off. (I'm a HS chemistry teacher and I wanted one stress free day where I wasn't constantly on my feet). I didn't even lay down after the transfer. I have a tilted uterus and so they made me fill my bladder to bursting. As soon as I got out of the operating room I ran to the toilet!
