My son is 21 months old and diagnosed with sensory processing disorder. We have started OT for sensory integration. Suddenly about a week ago he has been reaching for objects in books like they are real and becomes frustrated when they are not. Is this normal? Why does he do this?
My 8yrold has SPD. I don't remember him doing this but my 3 year old nephew does it but laughs and my 12 month old try's to pick stuff out of the book or I pad and try and eat it. Bring it up with the therapist. My son was not diagnosed until he was 5 so it's great you have therapy so young it will help tremendously. Good luck!
