  • 1. Kindershlitz/MI

    2. TTC #2 since August '13

    3. IUI#2  Just got home from the RE.  I need to digest it and talk to DH before I get into that. I might need my own thread for that. I know there are lots of people to talk to about starting IVF..

    4.5-6DPIUI  Will test March 11.

    5. Not so good.  The dr and nurse seemed less enthusiastic about my info today, waiting for progesterone results.

QOTW: I would have grilled chicken by DH- he is awesome at grilling, salad by anyone because I hate chopping up veggies, maybe a side of August MI corn.  I guess I'm thinking summer :) Might as well walk to the ice cream store after that.

  • 1. 2pupsnokids/NJ
    2. TTC #1 Since June 2013
    3. TTW FET 2/28/15
    4. I test 3/10 bc it was a 5-day transfer
    5. I'm not overly hopeful, but I'm trying to put it out of my mind for now.

To any newbies, this group is pretty kicka%@ for information and support.
QOTW: I'd love a grilled caesar salad and medium rare filet mignon and roasted potatoes. My husband is a really good cook. We have a deal, he cooks, I'll clean up!

    3. truthfully I'm thinking about just winging it.  I have been temping and charting but I'm thinking about just taking a month off to see what happens.  Maybe without the pressure of the fertile window H will be open to more days of sex and we might just hit it.  Ya never know.  :)

    4. cd 2 - BOO

    5. We'll see.  Maybe if I just let it be I won't stress and overanalyze.  I have an obsessive personality so I'm not entirely sure that's possible.

QOTW: Medium rare steaks, corn on the cob and asparagus done on the grill by H.  He is the grill king!

@kindershlitz and @2pupsnokids - keeping my fingers crossed for both of you.

general rant - I fell on the ice at work yesterday and landed on my elbow.  It hurts really bad today so I'm going to the doctor at lunch.  Hopefully I didn't do too much damage.

    3. Charting, and trying to learn my symptoms

    4.CD 22 and still waiting to O

    5. I'm feeling a little nervous, as I still haven't Oed. I've been of HBC since june 2014, and I've noticed symptoms off on of different cycles (ovulation cramps, EWCM) but this is the first month I've been charting. I know I just need to wait it out and see what happens but its hard...

QOTW: I'd love DH to make me his duck leg confit and seared duck breast and an arugula, warm beet and goat cheese salad, paired with one of the wines we bought on our honeymoon.

  • Hello my ladies! I've been so MIA lately. Work has been over the top and there just isn't enough time in the day! I hope you are all doing great. I've seen a few BFP's here and there when I've hopped on to take a quick look! Congrats!! I hope to try to be on here more!

    1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
    TTC #2 since March/April 2014

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
I am not doing anything this cycle. My DH and I have both had our bloodwork done (through the RE) and all has come back fine and normal. Now it's on to the sperm analysis and let's just say DH is not racing to get it done. And I'm not pushing him either. I don't want things to get wierd. We are blessed with our DD who is turning 9 in May, and we keep saying that if it's doesn't happen, it doesn't happen.. BUT ... DH gets in a foul mood when I get AF or when he THINKS I'm thinking he's the problem, which I honestly don't. However, I do think he might have low mobility because he smokes the 'loco weed.' LoL .. but I have never said anything to him. It could be a random number of things. So anyways.. sorry for the long response here. It's been awhile and I thought I'd share what's been going on in my world. ;)

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
I am CD 2! AF came yesterday! :(

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
I feel like shit about this cycle. Every month I have different symptoms and I try not to read into them too much, but there's always the shock when AF comes. This past month I got a positive OPK and we DTD the day of and the following day so I feel like we had good timing.

QOTW: Someone is making you dinner on Saturday! What's on the perfect menu? "Bonus points" for who is making it/whose recipe?
Oooh.. My mama makes the best beans in the world and her tamales are also amazing! I'm gonna have

*** child mentioned *** Right now, I would love to have my mom around to cook me something.  She passed away when I was pregnant with Emmy and I miss her a lot right now.  My favorite would be her spaghetti, garlic bread, and a big salad.  I could make it but it just wouldn't be as good.

    3. On BCP, got my IVF schedule today. Pending a good HSG result next Saturday. If everything is okay we will proceed with our 4th IVF cycle.

4.I have no idea, lol. Since starting IVF I've gotten so lax at tracking, my nurse does all the work for me. Is that awful? Although, if my IVF cycle goes through this month I THINK I'm technically on CD 4.

    5. Feeling tentatively hopeful. Trying to stay realistic and grounded. If the HSG shows uterine scarring and the Dr. has to remove it we will have to wait two months to start another cycle. I have mixed feelings on it.

QOTW: DH to make me grilled filet mignon (we are in kansas, we like our beef:), garlic mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. And wine, there would definitely be wine.
  • Hey ladies!

    Jill here from North Carolina.

Been ttc #1 for about 2 years now.

This cycle I've been taking Ovasitol (an inositol supplement to help with insulin and blood sugar levels), flaxseed oil, prenatals, pre-conception tea, vitex, lots of other vitamins, lots of exercise, charting and OPKs. I've also started a natural progesterone cream as well (just started today).

I FINALLY got a positive OPK on Monday (3/2) on CD27! I know it's really late to O but since I've been tracking my cycle, it happens anywhere between CD18-29 (or not at all). I'm also temping and haven't noticed a *significant* temp rise yet (although there was a little increase this morning) so I'm not really sure I did ovulate.  If I did ovulate, I'm 1dpo and will test in 2 weeks (if AF doesn't show up). I'm taking the progesterone cream just in case (since my prog was super low last cycle when tested).

I'm not feeling too optimistic this cycle. I just hate it that it takes so long to get a positive OPK and that it's not always a sign that I will actually ovulate. But I did have some twinges and cramps Monday night and Tuesday afternoon, so I'm hoping that the dang egg escaped. And we did it so much that I'm sure there were like a million sperm up there waiting. Fingers are crossed!!

My husband really loves to cook and makes a really delicious gluten-free pizza. He also makes coconut ice cream for me too. Yum!

    GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
Same old, charting, acupuncture,. Saw the RE yesterday, so if this cycle doesn't work we're doing an HSG next cycle.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
7dpo. I'll test next wed if needed.
    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
I feel good about this cycle. I really felt the O and got all the textbook signs with the OPK, the temp and the CM.  Plus, he saw on my U/S the left over follicle from the one that Ovulated. But, it will probably end in disappointment next week.
QOTW: Someone is making you dinner on Saturday! What's on the perfect menu? "Bonus points" for who is making it/whose recipe?
My husband makes a great peanut sauce with rice noodles and tofu.

My name is Fly106 and I'm from PR. I've been TTC since July 2012. On BC before that so this is our 1st. My DH and I  are currently visiting a RE and are in the process of getting IUI for the first time. Waiting on appointment this Friday to see if Clomid 100mg worked on getting my follicules to grow to desired size. My DH is also taking Femara to improve count, motility and morph.

Feeling kind of nervous because this process has been really slow, now that we have the option of getting IUI since my DH's fertility issues have imporoved I am now the one who's been having issues. I was put on Femara and it didn't work. Don't know if having PCOS has anything to do with it. I started spotting on my last day and RE told me my follicules were only 10 mm. Was then prescribed Clomid  to see if that worked or I would have to be put on injections. Hopefully Clomid gets them where they are supposed to be and we can move ahead with the process. Wish me luck girls!!!!

QOTW: If someone was making me dinner this Saturday, the perfect menu would be sweet plantains wrapped in steak with roasted potatoes and Creme Brulee for dessert. The Chef? Chef Tino.

  • Nell, PA

TTC #1 for just over a year

We are starting to work with an RE. I had my bloods and transvaginal ultrasound a few weeks ago and my husband did his part and I had my HSG yesterday (holy ouch, batman). We'll meet with the RE this coming Tuesday to see where we are. I'm temping, charting, and using opks.

    I'm CD 7. Usually O between CD 11 and 14.

I'm not really feeling very hopeful this cycle. I'm nervous about what the RE is going to say. I know people say there is a chance the HSG can create a superhighway for baby-making but this week has been really bad for my husband so I'm not sure how much together time we'll get this cycle.

Saturday dinner: My husband makes this amazing shrimp in garlic sauce. That, with a tortilla (Spanish, not Mexican), some really good bread, manchego cheese, quince paste, olives, cured ham, roast almonds, sliced fruit, and a bottle of wine would be perfect.

  • 1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from. Aus from MD.

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.? TTC#1 and likely only since Sept 2013.

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE? Clomid w/ IUI, and progesterone during the TWW. Aside from that, limited booze and caffeine, regular exercise, healthy eating, and PNV. I'm on MyFitnessPal to try and drop a little weight (I may as well, since cutting booze and soda is eliminating a lot of calories!).

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?  8dpiui. If my period doesn't show up by 3/12, I'll go in for a beta. I may test at home on Tuesday as my period is due on Monday.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) I started having my usual PMS cramps today, so I'm not too hopeful. I'm trying to stay optimistic for DH's sake, though.

QOTW: With all this healthy eating and limited booze, my dream Saturday dinner would be all the stuff I haven't had lately. DH's pasta in vodka and sausage sauce, a vat of wine, a huge pile of piping hot garlic bread, Caesar salad, and the world's biggest red velvet cupcake and a cappuccino for dessert. (Have I mentioned it's snowing heavily in Baltimore? That may be influencing my cravings.)

Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN.

Update 11/14 - had laparoscopy 10/28, good news is that my uterus and left tube look good, and they were able to drain the cyst on my left ovary. Bad news is that right tube and ovary have endo and scar tissue, so they're pretty useless.. Best news is that we finally have some answers and a path forward. Taking 7.5 mg letrozole CD 2-6 to put that good left ovary through its paces.

UPDATE 2/2015 - We switched to another fertility clinic, but fortunately we don't have to start all over. We're doing two cycles of Clomid plus IUI, if neither of those take, we'll do IVF in April, potentially with ICSI. (DH's SA has gone downhill, likely due to excessive exercise.) IUI#1 2/25/15....

Not doing a whole lot this month. Still doing acupuncture and herbs and all my vitamins. And we met with RE to discuss IVF. We'll be starting that with my next cycle. Should be in about a week.
    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
I'm on CD20. I'm guessing I won't need to test, AF will probably just show up uninvited
    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Not hopeful for this cycle but more comfortable with the idea of starting IVF
QOTW: Someone is making you dinner on Saturday! What's on the perfect menu? "Bonus points" for who is making it/whose recipe?
My moms chicken cutlets and Spaghetti. I have to teach the BF how to make it so I'm not doing all the cooking
