Hello everyone! My name is Lindsay, my husband and I have been TTC for over 6 months but not quite a year. My problem is that I don't ovulate (that's what the doc said). I have gone up to four years without a period. When I took progesterone I had my period, so my doctor said that I can take Clomid and most likely get pregnant quickly. I am worried...... I am scared to try it and fail. We have tried a few things before just to get the BFN again and again, I don't want to give up but I need some encouragement to go get the prescription. I am worried that they are going to say that I can't have kids, or that the only way would be IVF or something. I guess I am just looking for encouragement. If anyone could tell me what to expect on the first appt with a fertility specialist that would be great. Do I have to do Clomid and the insemination or how does that work? Please Help
Get the clomid, it's not invasive and it will increase your odds. Usually docs have you on it for 3 months. Your first appointment with an RE they will most likely do a ton of blood work, HSG, take your med history and if you have a partner they will also take his history and a semen sample. Good luck!
